Had the absolute pleasure of meeting some friends who are fellow interior designers in NYC this week. Not sure which was more fun, dinner with 8 people or touring Holiday House. (actually, as much as I love design, dinner with friends always wins 🙂
I’m sharing just a few of my favorites starting with my friends at A-List Interiors. I’m so happy for Anelle Gandelman and Ariella Druker who make up the design duo A-List Interiors. They are incredibly talented designers as you can see from their room at Holiday House on the fourth floor. Their attention to detail is amazing and their use of pattern and texture in this room make me swoon.
My next favorite room has to be the on the fifth floor. NYC is always full of surprises and finding the stunning pool designed by Vanessa Deleon Associates was definitely a stunning surprise. However, it’s no surprise that the color scheme is what I love the most.
Next we go from top floor to lower level where you descend the stairs to the charming wine room below. I’m thinking this room by Interior Monologue captures the fall/ holiday mood of this time of year beautifully.
Last, but not least. I love the family game room by Eric Haydel Design. What a welcome place to gather. I can picture the holidays with friends and family in this room being fun and festive.
My favorite thing of all about this showhouse and the many other showhouses around the country/ world is that they benefit a charity. It’s wonderful to know that interior design goes beyond pretty pictures and touches the lives of those who live in the homes we design, and that we can have the opportunity to design rooms and raise money for good causes. The 2018 Holiday House NYC is located at 118 East 76t Street, NY, NY and benefits the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. If you get the chance, it’s open until December 6th.
If you’ve been this year or in the past, I’d love to know how you liked it. Drop me a line and let me know.
Happy Holidays (almost 🙂
