Fabrics & Finishes: Aqua and Burgundy for Fall
While it may be obvious that shades of sea green (aqua, robins egg blue, seafoam, etc) are my favorites, I find they often get overlooked in fall and winter. Many people feel they are just for summer. Au contraire!
I put together the fabrics and finishes above to show you how great these shades of sea green look with burgundy and other warm tones. I was mostly inspired by Harlequin’s Collection featuring the Ophelia fabrics which is a gorgeous embroidered linen.
This fabric works wonderfully with several other of the Harlequins collections,.
I put together an example of how you might use these fabrics in a room, below.
Tritter Feefer, a wonderful, eco-friendly, custom furniture maker who manufacturer in the US has fabulous finishes that tie into this color scheme to. The Rita coffee table, and Paris side table in my concept board above could be done in their fabulous textured finishes like Hades below.
Check out Harlequin fabrics. They are one of my favorites. You can see another post I did here and here.
What do you think? Would you pair shades burgundy and aqua? Or do you think aqua just for summer? Let me know.
Be Inspired!
