Happy Fall! I hope this new season is off to a good start for all of you. We’re starting off autumn with a new weekly feature called “Coastal Color”. Being located in coastal town of Southampton, I am very influenced by the colors of the coast and like incorporate them into our interiors. The color we are highlighting this week is Benjamin Moore’s Shore House Green. You’ll see images that this color has inspired below.
Above is a palette combo Benjamin Moore suggests.
Sustainable style! Re-purpose an old piece with a great color.
Don’t want to over do it with the color? Just add an accent like we did here with the tray, bottle, and book. (all of which you can find in our Southampton store)
Use the color with some contrast. Here we added the organic cotton throw by Coyuchi and custom made pillows out of Harlequin Fabrics Blossom with a great fringe by Robert Allen. The Coyuchi bedding throw pillow and lattice sheet set in tangerine adds warmth and contrast. (In case you didn’t notice our background is also Harlequin’s Blossom fabric. It happens to be a favorite of mine.)
Could you find a place for a hint of Shore House Green in your home? Have you used it before? Let me know.
