If you’ve seen some of our recent posts, you know that I am very excited about carrying the Amy Howard at Home line of furniture finishing products and teaching the workshops on how to use the products. I’m whole-heartedly behind her “rescue, restore, and redecorate” concept and the idea that we can reduce the amount of furniture discarded and resources used by revamping pieces that already exist.
I thought I’d show you how we prepared the space to display the new line.

When we first moved in we got the room ready for our collection of children’s furnishings. My son was a great help at the time.

Sadly, I painted over our chalkboard paint panels and did this allover stencil in Benjamin Moore white dove as the background and my favorite, Crystalline from their Aura paint series as the stenciled pattern. The stencil is from Cutting Edge Stencils. I sent many people their way while I was in the process of doing the room. The clients walking in those days were surprised this was not wallpaper.

Finally, I put the space back together with our Signature Oak Wall Unit finished in Amy Howard at Home, One Step Bauhaus Buff and Cartouche Green. I set the room up to feel like a library/ study where you might go for inspiration.
Let me know what you think. I’d love to hear your thoughts. And, if you’re in Southampton, come by and take a look.
Don’t forget you can sign-up for the workshops here.
Happy Saturday!
Shannon
